Asthma WA is one of four WA charities to benefit from this year’s VenuesWest’s successful Community Partners Program in 2021/22, where Asthma WA will reap the rewards of a two-year partnership.

Now in its seventh year, the VenuesWest Community Partner program is continuing to offer tailored opportunities to assist a select group of charity organisations in achieving their core objectives. Asthma WA is one of two new recipients and joins other existing charities OzHarvest and St Catherine’s college.

“The Community Partner Program champions the goals of four WA charities and provides significant benefits so they can continue to assist our community.

“The partnerships with these incredible charities will help drive awareness of the important work they are doing and build positive connections within the community,” said Acting Sport and recreation Minister, the Hon Simone McGurk of the partnership.

This support from VenuesWest recognises the important role Asthma WA plays in the community, particularly during testing times like COVID-19. Asthma WA’s state-wide support offers telehealth and video-conferencing when face to face is unsafe for vulnerable patients. These vital services helps consumers avoid being hospitalised whilst also minimising the burden on the hospital system.

“We feel incredibly fortunate to partner with VenuesWest over the next two years with support from their 13 world class sporting and entertainment venues. We look forward to working alongside the team at VenuesWest and together, making a significant and positive difference to the lives of Western Australians living with asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD),” said Donna Rendell, CEO, Asthma WA
