Have you ever had a full lung function test?

Asthma WA and Respiratory Testing Services are working together to provide lung function clinics to the people of Western Australia. This is a bulk billed service which will be offered on a monthly basis at the Asthma WA Head Quarters in West Perth, as well as other metropolitan and regional locations.

What is involved in a Lung Function Clinic?

Lung Function Clinics involve Spirometry, Diffusing Capacity, Total Lung Capacity, Residual Volume, Differentiates between chronic asthma and emphysema and identifies those patients suitable for lung volume reduction. 

Spirometry: the measurement of airflow.

Lung Volumes: measures your total lung capacity.

Diffusing Capacity: measures the transfer of gas from air in the lungs to the red blood vessels. It helps determine the overall ability of the lungs to transport oxygen in to the blood.

Fractional exhaled Nitric Oxide: helps dictate effective medication.

Even if you have had spirometry, you can still book in for this service!
